CDL Drivers, Class A or B (HAZMAT and Tanker)

RK Allen Transportation, LLC

RK Allen Transportation, LLC is currently seeking Class A or B CDL Drivers with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements to join our team!

R.K. Allen Transportation, LLC is a fuel and lubricant delivery agent with offices located in central Alabama and the panhandle of Florida. We strive to maintain customer satisfaction by providing excellent customer service and timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance with DOT regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Delivery of Product (bulk & package) to customers per dispatch orders
• Load and unload product compliant with company policy and government regulations
• Obtain customer’s signature on delivery ticket upon delivery of product
• Maintain electronic logbook compliant with government regulations
• Perform pre-trip inspection report on assigned vehicle daily before leaving warehouse to make deliveries
• Prepare, complete, and submit paperwork required by RK Allen Transportation in a timely manner – includes pre-trip reports, daily driver reports, delivery tickets, etc.
• Collect samples of product as needed
• Maintain and operate vehicle in compliance with DOT requirements – notify supervisor immediately of any mechanical or safety issues
• Maintain a clean and safe vehicle
• Assist with re-packaging of products as needed
• Assist in warehouse as needed
• Interact with customers, management, and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner
• Special projects as needed

Requirements:

• CDL Class A or B with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsement
• Minimum of 3 years commercial driving experience
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 21 years old
• Current Medical Examiners Certificate
• Knowledge of general area of delivery
• Legible handwriting
• Ability to read and speak English – must be able to communicate with customers, understand traffic signs, and complete required paperwork
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds

Accounting Assistant, Accounts Payable & Fuel Invoicing

RK Allen Oil Company

Our company is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk for Accounts Payable & Fuel Invoicing to join our team!

Accounts Payable Responsibilities:

• Process check requests and expense reports on a regular basis
• Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices
• Perform monthly reconciliations
• Maintain a large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Perform data entry associated with accounts payable
• Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies
• Audit and process credit card bills
• Address and respond to vendor inquiries

Fuel Invoicing Responsibilities:

• Invoice customers in a timely and accurate manner daily
• Reconcile driver delivery reports with bill of ladings and sales orders / delivery tickets
• Match supplier invoices with bill of ladings and review for volume and pricing accuracy
• Key bill of ladings and distribute to inventory or sales orders / customer invoices
• Confirm correct pricing on customer invoices and distribute invoices to customers
• Distribute monthly billing statements
• Review invoices from freight carriers to ensure information is accurate
• Reconcile fuel inventory daily
• Proprietary Card System responsibilities – issue customers proprietary fuel cards, track inventory, and invoice customers

Other Responsibilities:

• Answering telephone
• Customer service for walk-in customers
• Special projects as needed

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years previous experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Good communication skills
• Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills are a plus

Minimum Requirements for Most Positions

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• CDL License for driver positions
• Pass background check and drug screening
